Riverview Credit Union Announces Closure of its Vienna, WV Branch.

MARIETTA, OH – JUNE 2025 – Riverview Credit Union announced today that its Vienna, WV branch, located at 502 Grand Central Ave, will permanently close effective Friday, August 8, 2025, at 4:30 pm.
The decision was made after carefully considering the banking preferences of our West Virginia members, the increasing use of digital and online banking services, and the convenience of access to a full-service office location. Our current Vienna location does not offer full-service amenities, such as a drive-thru or ATM, which our members deserve. Parking and limited hours are also a detriment. The commitment is to make this transition as smooth as possible for those who visit our current Vienna location. There is no action required by any of our members other than visiting our Belpre branch (located one mile away) or either of our two Marietta branches. These full-service locations continue to serve all Riverview’s members.

About Riverview Credit Union: In early 2018, the Board and management began expanding Riverview’s membership field to reach new potential members in additional counties on the Ohio River. To accomplish this goal, a decision was made to change Riverview’s charter from a state charter to a federal charter. This process was finalized on October 1, 2018, when Riverview officially began operating as a federal credit union.
In November 2019, Riverview expanded its reach by opening an office in Vienna, West Virginia. The Vienna office is RCU’s third in the Mid-Ohio Valley and first in Wood County. It is located along one of the busiest roadways in the entire state of West Virginia. In 2023, RCU opened its second office in Marietta, OH, on Colegate Drive.
Today, Riverview membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Washington, Noble, Morgan, Monroe, Wood, Pleasants, Ritchie, Wirt, or Jackson Counties in Ohio or West Virginia. Immediate family members of a current Riverview member and organizations operating in RCU’s field of membership also remain eligible to join. Riverview currently serves nearly 8,000 members.
